Website visitors
Standard hosting infrastructure may process IP address, browser user agent, requested URL, timestamp and security logs needed to deliver and protect the website. OpenPuzzle does not use this information to create participant profiles. Live statistics are aggregate database values.
OpenPuzzle clients
The coordination API receives a random client UUID, assignment UUID, backend-related progress, keys checked, checkpoint, speed and completion status. These values are required to avoid duplicated ranges, renew leases and verify completion. The protocol does not require a real name, email, password or payment information.
Potential solutions
Private keys, WIF strings and raw engine output remain on the participant's machine. A potential solution may send only non-secret assignment metadata for review. Never submit a private key through a website form, social media or support message.
Advertising and external links
Advertising units are disabled while the site undergoes content and policy review. If advertising is enabled later, this policy will be updated to describe the applicable cookies and provider controls. Links to GitHub, X and Bitcoin wallet software lead to external services with their own privacy policies.
Contact and transparency
Questions and reproducible privacy issues can be submitted through the public GitHub repository. Do not include private keys, authentication tokens or other secrets in an issue.
